Our Story

Hunter’s Ale House (Hunter’s to those who know it best) opened July 27th 2005 on the corner of Kent and Prince Street, an Island owned and operated by professionals who strive to exceed the expectations of their guests in a pub atmosphere. Hunter’s made the pledge to offer the best value for the dollar when it opened and still offers Islanders and tourists alike that same great product and service.

130 Year Old Structure

With a definite focus on great steak and seafood Hunter’s prides itself on serving Charlottetown’s favorite pub fare, focuses its attention to filling the guests’ belly and to never have a guest leave hungry or unsatisfied.

With our two large outdoor patios, diners are able to experience the hot summer sun and gentle breeze from the Charlottetown Harbour while relaxing with one of Hunter’s famous BIG BEERS in the downtown surroundings. Inside the 130 year structure that once housed a pharmacy you will find a newly decorated oak decor, spacious seating and sliding windows and doors to suit any temperature!

Award Winning Stage

After the sun goes down Hunter’s provides the best music our fine Island has to offer. Local, regional, and national acts have graced our award winning stage where we strive to provide the most unique entertainment scene in PEI. Hunter’s is proud to have several nominations and awards from the likes of Music PEI, East Coast Music Association, CBC among others.

If you are looking for a truly Island experience Hunter’s is the place to be – Great Food, Great Rock, Lots of it!
